Everything you wanted to ask.
Questions about who we are, how we work, what to expect from an engagement, and how we approach funding, strategy, and evaluation.
About the firm
What is PARAGRAF?
An integrated social consulting firm. We help corporations, civil society organisations, public institutions, and universities turn social ambition into measurable institutional outcomes — through strategy, non-dilutive capital, and the capability to use both.
We were founded in 2011, incorporated in 2012, and operate in integrated partnership with Crowe Mikhailenko (Crowe Global network) since 2023.
What do you mean by “first social consulting firm in Ukraine”?
When the practice began in 2011-2012, social consulting as a discrete discipline did not exist in the country. Trainers, fundraisers, and lawyers worked separately. We were the first to assemble the disciplines into one professional service.
Where are you located?
We are a remote-first consulting firm with working bases in Kyiv, Lisbon, Prague, and Chisinau. Our registered office and correspondence address are in Kyiv: 8 Redutna Street. We work with clients across Ukraine and internationally, combining remote delivery with site-based work where the engagement requires it.
Engagement and work
How do I start an engagement?
Three ways to reach us: 1. Discovery call — after a short project context 2. Email — info@prgrf.com (one-business-day reply) 3. Phone — +38 (067) 511-83-71 during working hours.
Before our first call we send a four-question brief so the conversation works on substance.
What does the discovery call cover?
Thirty minutes with the relevant service line lead. We listen to your context and goals; propose two or three possible directions; if it is our profile, agree the next step (detailed brief or paid engagement); if it is not, we recommend colleagues better suited.
How much do your services cost?
Every engagement is individually scoped — by duration, team, and deliverables. Pricing is set after a short brief. For registered civil society organisations and early-stage social businesses we operate a social tariff. How we engage →
How long do engagements typically last?
Depends on the service line. Strategic sessions run one to two days with two to four weeks of pre- and post-work. Fundraising-as-a-Service starts with a three-month minimum, typically 12-24 months on retainer. Capacity-Building engagements run six to twelve months. Evaluation engagements run four to eight weeks.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. English-language documentation, working experience with Horizon Europe, USAID, GIZ, UNDP, EBRD instruments. We work with clients in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, the EU, and the United States.

Engagement structure
Do we sign a contract?
Yes. Light engagements use an engagement letter; longer or higher-stakes work uses a master service agreement with statements of work per phase. NDA is signed before commercially sensitive material is shared.
Do you guarantee outcomes?
We guarantee the process — that we will work to PMD Pro, GRI, OECD-DAC, and our own quality gates. We do not guarantee external decisions outside our control (donor approvals, investor reactions, regulatory rulings).
What we commit to in writing: - Adherence to agreed timelines (with force majeure exclusions) - Deliverables matching the agreed scope - Free revisions for thirty days post-completion (within scope) - Confidentiality
Can we cancel an engagement?
Yes, on agreed terms. Standard structure: - Before work begins — full refund of advance, less operational costs - Up to 25% complete — 75% refund - 25-50% complete — 50% refund - 50%+ complete — pro-rata for work delivered
Alternatives include pausing the engagement (1-3 months), reducing scope, or rescheduling at locked rates.
Funding and fundraising
Do you write grant proposals?
Yes. Across three engagement models — full outsource (Fundraising-as-a-Service), capability building of your in-house function over 6-12 months, or supervised practice for existing fundraising teams. How we engage →
Which donors do you have experience with?
EU instruments (Horizon Europe, LIFE, Erasmus+, EU4Business, U-LEAD, COSME); USAID (HOVERLA, ERA, Innovation Fund); GIZ; SIDA; UNDP/UNEP; EBRD; IFC; World Bank; KfW; the major Ukrainian funders (International Renaissance Foundation, ICF, Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, Ukrainian Veteran Foundation).
Do you provide grants directly?
No. We are not a grant-making body. We help organisations secure grants from third-party funders.
ESG and sustainability
Do you help with CSRD readiness?
Yes — under our Sustainability & Impact service line. Materiality (single and double), strategic ESG positioning, KPI design, GRI/SASB/CSRD/TCFD reporting, B Corp and EcoVadis preparation.
Do you work with smaller businesses on ESG?
Yes. SMEs are a significant share of our ESG-strategy clients, particularly exporters and supply-chain participants of EU-domiciled companies.
Confidentiality
Will my information stay confidential?
Yes. NDA is standard from the start of any engagement. Documents stored on EU-based servers (GDPR-compliant). Access limited to the engagement team. Post-engagement, archives are retained for three years and then deleted or returned to you. Privacy Policy →
