The institutional foundation funders verify before they engage.
Funders don't fund projects — they fund organisations capable of delivering them. Capacity Building is the work that makes the organisation fundable, governable, and sustainable beyond a single grant cycle.

What this service builds
Registration and institutional setup. Strategic guidance through the registration process — choice of legal form, statutory documents, non-profit status, founding decisions. Legal execution is delivered through our partner Crowe Mikhailenko.
Internal policy architecture. Nine essential policies expected by serious institutional funders: financial policy and procedures, HR and code of conduct, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, information security and data protection, procurement and tendering, conflict of interest, whistleblowing, communications, volunteer management.
Project management infrastructure. PMD Pro-aligned process design: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure. Templates, governance, RACI matrices, donor-reporting infrastructure.
Organisational development. Governance design, board structure, committee architecture, succession planning, role and responsibility frameworks.
Corporate policy frameworks. For business clients preparing for ESG audit: anti-bribery, supplier code, whistleblowing, code of conduct, data protection — under ISO 27001, ISO 26000, and CSRD due-diligence expectations.
How a Capacity Building engagement runs
This is long-form work. Six to twelve months. We do not deliver a stack of policies and walk away.
Diagnostic of where the organisation stands — three-circles method. We map the gaps that prevent engagement-readiness for the funders you want.
A concrete list of policies and processes, sequenced by priority, with ownership assigned and deadlines set. No ambiguity about what comes next.
We adapt policy templates to your context, work through implications with the leadership team, and produce documents your team understands and can defend.
Board approvals, team training, first applications. The policies go live — not into a folder.
Coaching through the first applications of new policies and processes. Longer-term support available where needed.
